It’s been a hell of a year at work. I took the rest of my vacation time this week and since the government had been shut down, I didn’t want to risk flying back to Missouri to visit my family. I guess they’ll just have to come up here if they want.
Although I wan’t able to go anywhere, this staycation has been needed. I turned off my work phone and computer just to get away from it all. There have been a few chats from my bud about work, but other than that, I’ve been staying away from it. I’ve been able to play through Metroid Prime, something I’ve wanted to do for 20 years. I’ve also took time to go to our local library and check out a book I’ve been wanting to read saving myself $30. “If Anyone Builds It, Everyone Dies” is the title if you’re interested. I’ve also been able to give extra attention to our animals and found out that you can purify silver at home. I really don’t need another hobby. The rest of the week I may attempt to fix my Roland MT-32 that a Facebook seller scammed me on.

All in all, I have been sleeping in and really just relaxing. I’m just trying to live in the moment and not dread going back. That tends to steal the time I have now. Until next time.
