Niagara Falls September 2025

For our 6 year anniversary, Skeeter and myself decided to go to Niagara Falls on the Canadian side. It was such a beautiful place to visit. Although much like other places, it’s a tourist trap, but on the bright side, you’ll not run out of things to do.

The rotating restaurant was a little expensive, but it was worth it! Much like other rotating restaurants, it makes a full rotation every hour looking out on the city and the beautiful falls. This was one the the HIGHlights of our trip. hehe

The Skylon was a very fun place to go. The view was incredible and the food was very good. The wait staff was excellent and extremely attentive. The arcade downstairs was very dated, but if you’re a millennial, you’ll feel like you took a step back to your childhood as most of the games were from 98-01′. I should have taken more videos and posted it on a “Liminal Spaces” group as we were the only ones down there for a while.

After our dinner, I asked for a photo from the waitstaff who gladly obliged, we were allowed up to the viewing deck to walk around and take in more of the views at night. We ended up meeting a nice Scotsman while we were out there.

That night we were pleasantly surprised by fireworks at the falls. Apparently they do them at 10pm! Pardon the camera work, I was trying to watch with my own eyes while trying to record!

The next day we decided to take a walk and got a good video of the falls on top.

The next day we decided to do the “Behind the Falls” attraction and couldn’t recommend it enough. It was such a great view right next to the falls!

The next day we decided to visit the old power station and walked through “The Tunnel” The views were also great. Not as good as the Behind the Falls attraction, but still great!

As you can see from the photos, it’s A LOT more wet here! But it was still a great time. They provide free recyclable ponchos at both attractions.

We went to Fort George in Ontario about 30 mins away. The rifle and musket demonstration was really engaging and entertaining. I would recommend a visit as the historians at this site are very knowledgeable and dedicated to preserving their history.

We had so much fun celebrating our 6 years together. I’m not sure how someone can stand me for that long, but he does. I’m so thankful to have a partner in life that understands and truly cares for me. I wish everyone is able to find their person(s). He really does enrich my life and I’m so blessed to have him in it. Happy 6 years Skeeters! Lord willing we’ll have many more to come.
